Lutz & Guggisberg
Andres Lutz and Anders Guggisberg are from Switzerland and have a studio together. They do not make art in easily digestible chunks, nor do they serve up possible meanings on a platter. A viewer shouldn’t even want such patronising behaviour from above. Experiencing art is personal and what makes art so special is that meaning isn’t fixed, but streams, bends, intertwines and changes with the spirit of the time. In this interview, the artist duo talk about the origins of the installation The Studio in the Heavens and about the different ways in which you, as museum visitor, can view it. This interview is a compilation of an interview with Lutz & Guggisberg in Boijmans TV (episode 9). The interview is supplemented with material which could not, for time constraints, be included in the television programme.
