The Collection Enriched
The presentation of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen’s collection is rearranged every two years. This time it has been enriched with more than twenty loans from other Dutch museums and from the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp. Twenty first-rate pieces from elsewhere and more than thirty superb works from the museum’s own reserves contribute to a refreshing installation of more than 350 paintings and sculptures from the Western art dating 1500 to 1940.
The extraordinary collection of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen houses unique masterpieces by artists from Hieronymus Bosch, Pieter Bruegel the Elder and Dürer, to Rubens, Rembrandt and Titian, but also Kandinsky and Magritte. Among the twenty or more paintings, that will enrich the museum's collection, are works by Tintoretto and Goya. The museum in Antwerp is even lending a portrait by Hans Memling.
And ArtTube is keen on showcasing the most interesting objects from the collection. Don’t miss the films with curators talking about their favourite objects from the collection. Fascinating stories, crazy anecdotes and since admiration
